Mauryan Merchant is an electronica beat driven, downtempo jam with heavy percussion, wind and string instrumentation from India and the Middle East.  I was inspired by the consideration of how the ancient Mauryan Empire in India enabled a flourishing international trade with the Persian and Roman Empires.  As such, the exchange of culture and musical tradition also flourished.  The arrangement and production are from the Sonic Soul Sauce studio in North Carolina.  Photo credit: C.
